Jwani Brito

Born into a musical family, Jwani found passion and love for the drums very early in his life. When he first saw an old episode of “The Muppet Show” with Buddy Rich and Animal doing a drum duet, he knew that it was his destiny to play the drums. By the age of six he began to take drum lessons and jamming with his father (a professional guitar player) in his room for hours. Throughout middle school, high school, and college he was always involved in symphonic band, marching band, jazz bands, and the New World Symphony when he attended New World School of the Performing Arts, and Miami Dade College. He had been offered a scholarship for Music Education to University of Miami and turned it down to immediately start playing out with his own original band and give private drums lessons/ instruction. By the age of 16 Jwani had already been playing the local club and bar scene and as an adult has had the opportunity to tour and share the stage and Television with many national and international artist/musicians like Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Kiss, Kid Rock, Dave Mathews Band, Skid Row, Ted Nugent, Eddie Money Grandfunk Railroad, and Jefferson Starship.  Jwani was the touring drummer from 2001 - 2005 for the late Soraya (E.M.I. Music Group) and has also performed with Ricky Martin. Jwani proudly uses and endorses: Ddrum Drums, DW Drums and hardware, Paiste Cymbals, The Kelly SHU, Audix Microphones, Rocket Shells Drums, Evans Drumheads, Vater Drumsticks, Trick Drums / Accessories, Cympad, and Mogami Cables.
